Causes and Symptoms: The prostate gland lies at the neck of the bladder in men (the female body does not have it) and surrounds that part of the urethra lying within the pelvis. The gland is of importance especially because in late life it is apt to increase in size and change in shape in such a way as to obstruct the exit of urine from the bladder. The patient strains himself without being able to void the urine. The urine may come in drops, the patient visiting the toilet frequently and coming out with a feeling that he will have to go again. Modern medicine advises surgical interference (removal of the gland altogether) for the condition, but there are some home remedies which deal effectively with this condition.

Remedies: Most of the remedies mentioned under the title dysuria will help in the preliminary stages of the malady
